Universal Studios is well known for their extreme rides that are suitable for teens. But they also have some spots made just for the little kids and toddlers. Inside Universal Orlando, which is the “old” park, is a place called Curious George play area. It’s suitable for toddlers and kids up to around 10 years or or so.

Curious George play area at Universal Orlando is made to look like that misfit monkey Curious George has let out all the animals from the zoo! There are buildings you can go in and let the kids push buttons, levers and handles that spray and shoot water at different things.

The kids can even spray each other, and two big buckets at the top of the buildings tip over and soak anyone standing under them every 5 minutes or so. There also is a ball factory where the kids can throw and launch thousands of soft foam rubber balls at things and each other.

You can find a few other fun things to do here too, like slides and fun house type attractions. The main focus is getting wet, so it really is more like a water play area for kids. Great for the hot summer months but maybe a bit too cold two months out of the year.

Of course since the kids get soaked you’ll want to bring along change of clothes and some towels. Rubber flip flops for the kids is a good idea to protect their feet. Keep in mind the grown ups always seem to get wet at these places too!

Curious George play area at Universal Orlando is located at the back of the park near the E. T. ride. So if you have little ones this is a great place to let them have fun. If you have older kids maybe you’ll want to split up so they can all be doing something fun at the same time. Just remember the kids will get wet!
