Disney cruise ship Fantasy stage shows revealed

Stage shows for the new Disney Fantasy cruise ship

Disney has given us a tiny peek at what stage shows they will be having aboard their new Disney cruise ship, the Disney Fantasy.

Disney has been famous for a lot of things – movies, theme parks, unforgettable characters, and cartoons. Beginning in 1995, a new dimension was added with the Disney Cruise Line.

The first Disney ship, Disney Magic, made its maiden voyage in 1998. The second ship, Disney Wonder, first sailed in 1999. A third ship, Disney Dream, began operating in 2011. Disney cruises have become so popular that starting in 2012, a new Disney ship will be setting sail.

The Disney Fantasy is scheduled to make its maiden voyage on March 31, 2012. Currently, the ship is being constructed at Meyer Werft Shipyards in Germany. Disney Fantasy’s home port will be Port Canaveral.

From there, it will sail to the Caribbean Sea and islands, including stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. The ship is 340 meters long and 38 meters wide, with 1,250 staterooms.

Like the other cruise ships in Disney’s line, Fantasy will feature amazing shows and entertainment for its guests. The shows aboard the new vessel will be performed in the three-decks-tall Walt Disney Theater, which will be able to accommodate an audience of 1,340.

The cruise ship will feature new stage shows, including a welcome show, Disney Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular, Wishes, and a farewell show. These four shows are unique to the Disney Fantasy and will not be performed on the other cruise ships. Another show, Disney’s Believe, will also be performed on stage aboard the Disney Dream.

The shows will feature Disney characters, including Belle, Mary Poppins, Cinderall, Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, and many more. Songs will include tunes from The Lion King, Tangled, Hercules, Lemonade Mouth, Lilo and Stitch, The Little Mermaid, and The Jungle Book. :)
