Soon it will be time for Disney’s Festival of the Masters 2010 art show at Downtown Disney marketplace! This art show is one that I really enjoy seeing and go to it every year.
This year marks the 35th Festival of the Masters art show, sponsored by Sharpie (I assume the pen). It’s an open air juried art show that is spread out all over the Disney’s downtown marketplace area.
Each artist gets a white exhibit tent, and the art you can find there is top quality and fantastic. You can see paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry and more. There is always some very unusual and one of a kind exhibits to see.
I like the glass blown displays, they always have a few artist there that does that stuff. Fine woodwork and even doll houses can be found here, along with a few surprises.
Disney’s Festival of the Masters 2010 is November 12 through 14, 2010 this year. It’s a free event, you only have to pay if you want to buy food or some of the special activities.
With almost 150 artist there will be much to see, including great chalk art displays, live entertainment, kids activity center, pin trading and more. Of course you also can browse the many Disney shops at Downtown Disney and eat at several restaurants.
Kids will be shown how to draw their favorite Disney characters by expert artist outside DisneyQuest on the west side. Also see live entertainment from performers from Cirque du Soleil, with face painting and balloons.
I will update this event as more information becomes available. Disney Festival of the Masters 2010 art show at Downtown Disney is lots of fun and a great event to take the family. You’ll see world famous artist showing off their work, so check it out!
