Disney Thanksgiving day events, parades and dining restaurants

Thanksgiving dining at Disney

Disney Thanksgiving day events are often confused with other Holiday activities going on in that same month. Many think that there is a Walt Disney World Thanksgiving day parade, but that is not true, not at the Disney in Orlando.

There is a Disney Thanksgiving day parade at DisneyLand in California. Also many Disney floats are in the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade. So just what is going on for Disney Thanksgiving day events?

Well there is a lot of other activities going on around the same time. All the parks will be open, and many of the big Disney park dining restaurants will be serving full Thanksgiving day meals, a list of which I made below.

Walt Disney World usually starts putting up their Christmas decorations on Thanksgiving weekend. So you will not see them on Thanksgiving day, but you will over that weekend.

There will be no special Thanksgiving parades, but they will have their normal ones as well as the fireworks they normally have. The Sunday after Thanksgiving day you can see the Mickey’s very merry Christmas party parade and events at the Magic Kingdom.

Also on Thanksgiving weekend at Epcot is the Holidays Around The World – Candlelight Processional event. Over at Disney’s Hollywood studios you can check out The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights too.

So there is many things to do and see during Disney Thanksgiving day and over the weekend. Because it’s a Holiday weekend, the parks get PACKED! So go early and stay at one park if you can.
