Great food and fine wines await you at the 17th anniversary of the Disney Epcot International Food & Wine Festival from September 28 to November 12, 2012.
This yearly event celebrates food and spirits from around the world, featuring signature dining experiences with world famous chefs, live shows and musical acts by pop, rock, and R&B artists, wine seminars, and culinary demonstrations. Guests can purchase a bracelet that gives them access to unlimited food and beverage samples.
Disney does a good job of creating a fun environment at the festival. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival was named one of the Best Food and Wine Festivals by the Travel Channel.
Your normal Epcot theme park ticket lets you into the park where you can see lots of what is going on. However special shows, demonstrations, wine tasting and food cost extra or require a special ticket.
Guests can discover new cuisines by renowned chefs while indulging their senses with international beers, fine wines, and spirits during seminars and demonstrations. Those who attend the festival have access to live cooking demonstrations and live music performances.
From the ever-popular World Showcase Marketplace tasting booths to culinary and beverage demonstrations, musical acts, and the 3-D Disney’s Dessert Discovery, there is something for everyone at this special event.
This year guests can enjoy some favorite food items from past years, including shrimp ceviche, applewood smoked beef, cheese fondue with croutons and roasted potatoes, dark chocolate sensation, braised short ribs in Cabernet, and chicken souvlaki with tzatziki.
Chefs from all around the around will attend the event and showcase traditional foods and beverages from Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Ireland and other countries.
The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is a true delight for those who love fine wine and good food. This yearly event features international cuisine, entertainment, and culture from six continents, with more than 25 marketplaces boosting original cocktails, craft beers, and premium quality wines such as Pinot Sartori, Rudi Wiest Rhine River Riesling, Nectar Impérial Rosé, Moët & Chandon: White Star Impérial, and Montes Classic Cabernet Sauvignon.
This 46-day festival also features grand tastings, as well as an impressive list of guest chefs and winemakers from around the globe. In addition, there are lots of special events and live shows for which reservations are required.
