One of the newest Disney resorts being made will be opening in late May, and they recently had a press review for it. Disney’s Art of Animation resort is a very stunning looking Disney hotel, as you can see in these videos and pictures.
It has more than 1,000 suites plus 800 normal hotel rooms. There seems to be a different theme for each wing of the resort. The pool is very big and seems to be done in a “Finding Nemo” theme, which is fitting.
Other themes for the different wings will be the Cars wing, the Lion king wing, and the Little Mermaid wing. I’m not sure if just the Finding Nemo wing will be open in May or all of the resort.
The pool has been touted as being the biggest Disney resort pool ever, at over 12,000 feet. Disney’s Art of Animation resort is being sold as one of their value level hotels, yet it will have more amenities than the other Disney value resorts.
Heck I’d stay a night just to look around and see all the cool art and details they have put into this hotel! They really did a great job and the art, colors and sculptures really make it unique.
Of course this Disney resort includes several Disney character themed play areas and a cool water play area, besides the pool. There is a jogging trail and fitness area for adults.
Plus lots of other dining and shopping places inside the resort. It’s located on Disney property near the Hollywood Studios theme park so it’s very close to all Disney parks.
So if your thinking of a Disney vacation this summer, try to get a room at the new Disney’s Art of Animation resort and be one of the first ones to experience it. I want to try out that pool!
