Once again it’s almost time for Disney’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2011! Each year it gets bigger and better, and this year is sure to offer lots of new things to see and do.

If you’re a gardener, or even if you’re not but you appreciate the natural beauty of flowers, you won’t want to miss the Disney’s Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. It’s held at the Epcot park from March 2, 2011, through May 15, 2011.

At this event, you’ll be surrounded by millions of blossoms, in a rainbow of vibrant colors. There’ll also be live music and growing gardens. The kids will love the whimsical topiaries created into Disney characters. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and the gang will be featured – all consisting of flowers, vines, and other live plants.

If you’re into butterflies, be sure to visit Bambi’s Magnificent Butterfly Garden, where hundreds of the delicate creatures can be observed up close. If you visited Minnie’s Butterfly House last year, you’ll be delighted to discover that Bambi’s collection is twice as large!

On Saturdays and Sundays, expert horticulturists will be on hand to give you all kinds of tips and advice about gardening. You’ll also have the opportunity to view and purchase lots of neat garden gadgets and tools to help with your gardening endeavors.

Disney’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2011 is an event many go to every year. Yet because it’s not in the peak summer season the crowds are not large, another reason to go!

If you attend the festival on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, head over to the American Gardens Theatre after you’ve seen and sniffed all the flowers. Kick back and enjoy some classic rock with the Flower Power Concert Series. Big names from the sixties and seventies will be performing, including Chubby Checker, Juice Newton, Davy Jones, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Herman’s Hermits, the Guess Who, and more.

Admission to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2011 is included in the price of your Epcot ticket. It’s really worth it to see fantastic plant topiaries shaped into your favorite Disney characters.
