Now that fall is here there are lots of special events going on at the Disney theme parks. One of the most popular ones is the Disney Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party for 2011!
What could be more exciting for a kid than dressing up, trick-or-treating, and visiting Disney World – all at the same time? It’s all possible at Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party! The event is the fun type of spooky, and not the kind that’s full of blood and gore, so it’s great for all ages.
In fact it’s one of the best Halloween parties for very young ones because it’s not scary at all, and has their favorite Disney characters all around to make them happy.
Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party 2011 takes place inside the Magic Kingdom theme park. The Magic Kingdom gets all decked out for fall and Halloween. You’ll see pumpkins everywhere, of all shapes, sizes, and designs.
A special Disney Halloween parade kicks off the activities, led by the famed Headless Horseman from Washington Irving’s tale, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Following behind the horseman will be your favorite Disney characters, including those you might have “met” in Disney’s Haunted Mansion.
There’ll also be scarecrows, autumn leaves, and costumed Disney characters. You can add to the festive theme by wearing your own costume, no matter how old you are!
Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party is a special event, which means you need to purchase a separate ticket for it. Normal daytime guest will leave before the event starts on each night.
The party starts each evening at 7 p.m. and continues until midnight. Only a certain amount of guests are allowed to attend this event each night, and you have to purchase a special ticket.
There will be lots of special spots all over the Magic Kingdom theme park where the kids can find and take lots of yummy candy. They can even go back to the same spots for more!
The schedule for 2011 includes the following nights: September 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, and 30. In October, the parties will take place on the 2, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, and 31. If you missed the September and October dates, you’ll have another chance to join in the fun on November 1.
At 9:30, the amazing fireworks show begins, and it has a Halloween theme, too. See the Disney villains that everyone loves to hate – like you’ve never seen them before. Many of the regular rides and attractions will be available during the Halloween Party, and the lines are usually relatively short.
So if you have kids and want them to have the best Halloween ever, take them to Disney’s Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party 2011 inside the Magic Kingdom theme park this year!
