Today I decided to go to Disney’s Magic Kingdom and take some pictures of the new seven dwarfs mine train ride. That’s the new roller coaster ride they are making in the new Fantasyland section.
It’s based on Snow White and the seven dwarfs and features the diamond mine they worked in. So the roller coaster goes both outside and inside. A lot like the big thunder mountain railroad ride.
I must say I was surprised at how sharp and twisty the rails seem to be. It looks like you will experience some pretty sharp curves and drops. Even a bit more than the Thunder Mountain ride.
Of course the best part is inside the diamond mine, which I could not see. Of ALL days I picked to go it was a rainy one, so they were not testing it. I was hoping maybe they had a soft opening, letting some people ride it as they do to work the bugs out of it.
But no, nothing going on today. As you can see in one picture it will be officially open May 28th. The whole ride looks pretty cool, with bridges, waterfalls and cool landscaping. So check out the picture gallery below and see more.
