Every type of M&M’s you could want!
When you first go into Islands of Adventure theme park at Universal Studios, you walk through a row of shops called the Port of Entry shops. They are on both the left and right side. If your big on candy, make sure you check out the Island market and export candy shoppe!
It’s located on your right as your walking into the theme park, stuck between DeFoto’s Expedition Photography shop and the colorful Port of Entry Christmas Shoppe.
It’s a bit small, serving as a small break between the two connected shops. But the Island market and export candy shoppe is packed with many different kinds of candy that goes all the way up the walls!
More tubes of hard and soft candy
The most eye catching and impressive candy display is the many tubes of M&M’s candy on the back wall. As you can see in the picture you can select just your favorite color or the normal mix.
There is another set of candy in tubes that are a mix of different types, from red chewy candies, hard candies and many other kinds. You can select as much as you want and dispense them in bags.
Cotton candy in plastic tubs
Another wall in the back is full of cotton candy in plastic tubs, those are popular. Then you can find a large selection of chewy treats on sticks named after the cat in the cat characters.
Island market and export candy shoppe has many racks of suckers, lollipops, assorted hard and soft candy in many sizes of boxes, tins and bags. Finally toward the front is a large glass case of yummy fudge and other soft treats.
Chewy treats on sticks
You can find many different unique candies you can’t find anywhere else here. Of course there are many chocolate kinds of candy also, from hard to soft, pure chocolate to a mix of nuts and other treats.
I find the prices at the Island market and export candy shoppe a bit on the high side, even for a theme park. But you can get some very unique candies there you can’t seem to find anywhere else on Universal property.
Many types of fudge and soft treats
So if your very big on candy make sure you check out the Island market and export candy shoppe in the port of entry shopping row at Islands of Adventure. Make your purchases as you leave the park, you don’t want sticky, melting candy in your pockets and kids hands all day!
yummie
I am a FLORIDA resident and I frequently visit Universal and Islands of adventure because of my kids. It’s amazing how your favorite store becomes your not so favorite in about 2 minutes. We stopped off at “Fudge” to pick up some desert when my son was forced to to pay $0.15 for “a” yellow M&M he tasted. I hope Dawn has vested stock with this candy store. It didn’t bother me he had to pay for it, what bothered me was her attitude for 1 single M&M. Needless to say, we dropped everything we were going to by, but at least she gain .15 cents but lost a long time customer.
