New Cheetah Hunt roller coaster at Busch Gardens

One park I don’t talk about too much here is Busch Gardens. But today I wanted to tell you about their newest ride, the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster ride! Busch Gardens has some of the best roller coasters around, and the Cheetah Hunt is a great addition.

Hang on to your safari hats, folks, and hop on board the Cheetah Hunt Coaster! This is a great new ride at Busch Gardens in Tampa that opened on May 27, 2011.

The ride mimics a cheetah on the prowl and in the pursuit of prey. Several times during the ride, the coaster reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour, but it’s incredibly smooth and quiet – almost as graceful as a real cheetah!

It has several thrust it makes throughout the ride. This is made by magnetically engineering, shooting the coaster forward at a high rate of speed several times. Yet it’s smooth and very quiet.

The Cheetah Hunt Roller Coaster ride provides plenty of turns, climbs, and plunges, but it doesn’t jerk you around like a lot of roller coasters. This family-friendly ride provides all the fun of a thrill coaster without being too intense for big kids or too jarring for adults.

The coaster cars themselves have a cheetah-inspired design, and the over-the-shoulder harness holds riders securely in place. Part of the ride takes you just above the water, and you’ll pass waterfalls, foliage, and rocks. At the highest point of the ride, you’ll have a great view of the surrounding area.

You’ll feel like a stealthy big cat on the Cheetah Hunt Roller Coaster as you slowly stalk your prey and then dodge obstacles in an all-out run across the Serengeti plains.

Most riders are amazed at the smoothness of the ride, especially considering the twists and the velocity of the coaster. Cheetah Hunt Roller Coaster really is like no other coaster ride you’ve ever experienced.

This ride is fun for adults and kids over 48-inches tall. Remember – this is a brand new ride, so the lines might be long. Be patient – it’s definitely worth the wait!
