Sea World of Orlando, Florida raises prices

Well I see just in time for the New Year Sea World of Orlando, Florida has raised it’s basic one day ticket price up $5.00 for next month. The new cost of a standard one day ticket for an adult at Sea World will now be $74.95. All three big parks in Orlando; Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World, almost always raise prices once a year, if not more.

Of course most people never pay that price for a normal one day ticket. That’s because they want you to buy their multi-day tickets. I admit the multi-day tickets are a good deal. Or at least, they look like a good deal compared to the cost of a single day ticket. 😉 But that’s really the point of the cost increase, to make you get a multi-day ticket.

Now with Disney having four main parks, and Universal Studios having two, a multi-day ticket is the way to go. You’ll never see everything in a day, even at Universal. Plus kids always want to go back and do the rides again, they never get tired of them! So now Sea World is playing that game, but there’s one problem.

Sea World only has one park. You have to buy a separate ticket to get into Sea World’s new water park, Aquatica. Which by the way cost $44.95 as of next month. Discovery Cove, it’s swim with the dolphins park, also needs a separate ticket. So, is a multi-day ticket to Sea World worth it?

Well yes, but not because you need two or more days to see Sea World. The multi-day tickets you can get can be a combination of Sea World, Aquatica, Discovery Cove and even Busch Gardens. But what about spending two days just at Sea World, is that worth it? Well it depends on how much you love Sea World and what your kids like to do, if you have any.

Sea World is getting to be a large park, and it’s getting close to being a rushed experience to take in everything in one day. Add an hour of the kids playing at the kid climbing area and eating and it almost does take two days to see it all. Of course most of the attractions are of the animals, although they do have some neat rides too.

So I would say get the multi-day ticket, unless you know for sure your only going to visit Sea World one day. I also recommend buying them in advance online, not only for the convenience but also to save some money by buying online. Go to Sea World Orlando here to get your single and multi-day tickets to Sea World and related parks. Have fun!
