Spotlight on Disney World in Orlando, Florida. November 9, 2012 – January 6, 2013 will feature the musical magic of the Osborne Family Spectacle of dancing Lights. Located inside Disney Hollywood Studios Theme Park, this light show has graced the park since 1995.
The synchronized holiday light spectacular takes place on the Streets of America section of the park and is free with the purchase of a park ticket to Disney Hollywood Studios.
This grand display, which is now occasionally topped off with the magic of snow in Florida, started at the Arkansas home of the Osborne family. Jennings Osborne and family started small and grew their light and music display until it was so large they knew they had to share it with more people than the small town in Arkansas. Soon once again it will be time for Disney’s Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios! Each year it gets bigger and better, with millions of blinking, flashing and music themed Christmas lights.
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights is put up each year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the streets of America. Disney started displaying the lights in 1995.
It all started when Jennings Osborne from Little Rock, Arkansas put up 1,000 Christmas lights for his daughter. Each year he made the display bigger and bigger until people started complaining about the lights.

Very soon Walt Disney World will start having their Christmas lighting ceremonies. Nothing is prettier than the Christmas lights at night at the Magic Kingdom, especially Cinderella’s castle! It’s amazing how they can make that castle glow with different colors.
Then of course you have the special Disney Christmas night parades, which are also very colorful and pretty. Add the fireworks and it’s a fantastic place to be! Here’s a youtube video of a past Disney Magic Kingdom Christmas lighting ceremony. Enjoy!
