At least not as profitable as they want to be for the time they put into them. So they are turning over the day to day operations over to the Arnold Palmer Group management company.

Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in Orlando

Disney's magnolia golf course

As one of the two original Disney golf courses, the Magnolia was field of choice for the PGA Tour Qualifying School finals until the early 1980s. Disney’s 18-hole “Magnolia” course features 7,190 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course design uses the natural features of the area to emphasize the beauty of the rolling greens and sparkling water hazards.

The Magnolia course is the longest of all the Disney courses. What makes this course so special is the state-of-the-art equipment available on site, which includes golf carts equipped with GPS, computer-generated images of course fairways and the ability to monitor time and pace of play.

It also features precise yardage to different fairway and green locations, professional tips that aid course strategy and 3D views of each hole. More than that, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife than all the other Disney courses. Here you can see alligators, deer, wild turkeys, turtles and osprey in their natural habitat. The layout carves through more than 1,500 Magnolia trees.
