Halloween picture gallery from Disney’s Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom picture gallery

I’ve been very busy with my Vermont vacation. Right after that I brought my sister down to enjoy the Disney theme parks. We went to Disney’s Magic Kingdom about a week before Halloween.

Of course that means they had the park decked out in Halloween decorations, with Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party going on at selected nights. I decided to take a bunch of pictures there and make a picture gallery.

I tried to get most of the Halloween decorations in the pictures. But I also took shots of the new fantasyland they are building, with some areas already done.

I also took shots of the newly re-done Mickey’s toon land, with the twin Dumbo rides and lots more. So there’s a bit of everything in here to see. So check out my Disney’s Magic Kingdom Halloween picture gallery page below, enjoy! :)

Below is my article on Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party for 2009. For my new article on this years party, please check out Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party 2010 for the most up to date information about this great Disney event!

Well once again I am late with a Holiday event schedule, sorry about that! Now that it’s October many want to know what is going on at Walt Disney World for Halloween events. Because Disney is so big there are dozens of Halloween events, parties, trick or treat nights and so on throughout the Disney parks and resorts.

However the biggest and most popular Disney Halloween event is Mickey’s not-so-scary-Halloween-party. It is held at the Magic Kingdom on selected nights. Those nights are Sept. 4, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29th. October: 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31st and Nov. 1st. Hours are from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, with a Halloween Parade at 8:15 and 10:30, plus Fireworks at 9:30.

Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party is, as the name suggest, a party very low in the scary department, suitable for all kids including very young ones. Normal park tickets are NOT valid for this event, you have to buy separate Halloween party tickets, which you can find here in the WDW Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party website.

There is many different Halloween events going on inside the magic kingdom park at Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party. Below are just a few highlights:

Trick or treating:
Guest are given trick or treat bags with a map that shows candy stations located throughout the park. You can go back to the same stations as many times as you want all night, yum yum!

Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade:
An amazing Halloween themed parade with your favorite Disney characters in Halloween costumes plus elaborate lit up floats. It’s very eye catching and a must see. Times are 8:15 and 10:30.

Villian’s Mix & Mingle:
All the infamous Disney villains put on a show, then pose for pictures later. 7:45, 9:00, 10;05 and 11:15 p.m.

Halloween Dance Parties:
Two locations inside the Magic Kingdom park will host dances where your little ones can dance with their favorite Disney characters in Halloween outfits. I’m going to try to get a dance with Cinderella!

Happy HalloWishes Fireworks:
One of the best firework shows Disney puts on! Amazing fireworks of all kinds set to music. 9:30 PM.

This is a good round-up of what you can expect at Disney’s Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party. The parade and fireworks are one of a kind and not to be missed. Your kids will have a blast trick or treating and meeting the Disney characters in Halloween costumes. So check it out and have fun at Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party at the magic kingdom!

Sea World Halloween events, Spooktacular

Sea World Halloween events, spooktacular

For SeaWorld’s 2010 new Spooktacular Halloween event information and times, please go to the new Halloween Spooktacular article you can find here.

It’s been a while since I made a post here about Sea World! So what better way then to let you know what special events are going on there for this Halloween season. Sea World is having what they call their Spooktacular trick or treat events. Halloween Spooktacular begins each day at 12 p.m. October 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-25, 30 and 31, 2009.

It’s a mix of fun things the little ones can do on those days. Kids can come in costumes or not, it’s up to you and does not matter. Throughout the park you can pick up a Spooktacular map that shows a dozen or more places kids can find many different sweet treats to find. It’s a mix of sweets and healthy foods so you can pick what you want your kid to have.

There’s also a special Sesame Street “countdown to Halloween” musical show with lots of the Sesame Street characters. The frozen fun zone features an ice DJ with interactive games and activities that is sure to be a hit with little ones. Finally there will be fun and funny Costumed characters dressed as fish and treats roaming the park to greet kids.

My that job sounds like fun, too bad I did not hear about the auditions! So if you like Sea World and have little ones, now you know what days to pick so they can have some extra fun. Unless your child is the type that might get traumatized by a giant walking fish sweating profoundly wanting a hug! Have fun at Sea World’s Halloween Spooktacular!
