Disney Expedition Everest roller coaster picture gallery

Expedition everest ride

I had the pleasure of going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park the other day. While there I went on Expedition Everest, the cool roller coaster they have. It was a longer ride than I expected with lots of curves, plunges and surprises.

I decided to make a picture gallery of the ride, plus a lot of the other rides that are close by at Dinosaur land. That’s the area that has a lot of things for little kids to play in and on.

So check out the gallery below and take a peek at Expedition Everest and the other rides and attractions nearby. Make sure you go to Disney’s Animal Kingdom if you have never been, it’s a blast!

Snow White and the seven dwarfs roller coaster update

One of the very last rides being made at the new Fantasyland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom is also what I think will be one of the best. The seven dwarfs roller coaster is moving along, as you can see in the above video.

I always thought that Disney should have made a Snow White and the seven dwarfs roller coaster ride years ago. The diamond mine with the carts and track was a perfect theme for a cool indoor roller coaster.

From what I can see the roller coaster will be both inside and outside. It does not have very high hills but you can see some sharp curves. I think it will be very similar in size and speed of Big Thunder Mountain railroad.

Rip Ride Hollywood Rockit song music list, top song played

Rip ride rockit hollywood music song list

Well it’s been a good summer for the new Rip Ride Hollywood Rockit roller coaster over at Universal Studios. I’ve been on it several times and it’s a lot of fun. I’ve had several people ask me what the music song play list is on it.

I think the rip ride rockit music play list is a nice mix for young and old alike. I’ve also been told there is a hidden soundtrack you can find by holding the top key down for 10 seconds. Then you type in a code, but I don’t know what it is.

Anyway the main music soundtrack for rip ride rockit roller coaster is pretty good, and you don’t have much time to pick one. So I’d just stick to the songs you can find in the main soundtrack.

Youtube video of The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Universal Studios

I’ve been going hog wild with my new camcorder at the theme parks! I really love taking videos of all the rides and attractions at Disney, Universal Studios and the other parks.

This one is a youtube video of The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Universal Studios Island of Adventure. I’ve been on it dozens of times, but I still get a rush when it shoots you up from the start at 60 miles an hour, then puts you in a curving corkscrew!

I took the video from several different angles and viewpoints. From an overall view of the whole ride to close-ups of different curves and tricks. I highly recommend it if you love roller coasters. Enjoy this video of The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Universal Studios!

Universal Studios rip ride rocket roller coaster

Well it took long enough, but I finally got to ride the new roller coaster at Universal Studios, rip ride rocket! Or rather rip ride rockit, as it’s really called. There was not too much of a wait the day I went, only around 20 minutes. Since I was by myself I took the “single riders only” line. One thing that quickly became apparent to me is that the single rider line for this ride moves very slow!

That’s because the roller coaster only seats two people across, a bit unusual. Since most people come as couples or with kids, it’s harder to find a single seat left each time. You basically have to wait for a group of three people to leave a single seat open. So, single riders will have to wait longer than at other rides to get a seat.

However it’s still faster than the normal line if your single. Getting in was pretty easy, and everything fit snug. Once your in you get to choose a song from a short play list with buttons in front of you. As soon as you take off you start the slow climb up the tall 90% first hill! It’s scary to see nothing but blue sky as you go straight up!

Once at the top there is no pause, and the sharp bend around and down makes you think your going to fall right out of your seat! Then the fun begins, as you go through a series of loops, barrel loops and over-under twist. Several times during the ride it slows down, only to get back up to speed with more drops.

You go through a building at one point, and the ride stretches from the far back of the park to the front. Time wise it’s longer than most coasters here in Florida. The music was loud but not too much so, and since you can pick your own it was good. Overall rip ride rocket was a blast and one I’ll go on again and again.

It’s not as fast as The Hulk roller coaster, but it last longer. The big fun is the 90% grade starting hill and the drop at the top. If you have a fear of heights that will really make you sweat! The height requirement is 51 inches, so no little kids can ride this. I highly recommend going on rip ride rockit for some thrilling fun!

Below is a slide show I put together. Click the first thumbnail to start it, click the picture in the show to exit it. For roller coaster junkies, rip ride rockit is a winner!

Universal Studio Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster snags

Universal Studios rip ride rockit roller coaster opening pushed back

One of the biggest ride openings that has been anticipated here in Orlando is the new Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster at Universal Studios. Once open it will be one of the biggest rides in the two parks inside Universal Studios. However they seem to be having some problems with it, which is delaying the opening.

The new roller coaster will have a 90 degree ascend of the first hill. There has been talk that they are having problems with the device that keeps the cars from rolling backward on it. Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster will be 167 feet high and go up to 65 mph. It will have soundtracks you can customize to hear and cameras.

It also boast some industry-first maneuvers that will leave riders wanting more. A coaster this technologically advanced was bound to have bugs that need to be worked out. So it’s really not a surprise to me that the opening date has been pushed back. So just when will it be open?

Well they are not sure yet. They are working hard around the clock to get it open. Rumor has it they hope to have it open by late July. However anything could happen since they already have pushed the date back several times. I think we will see it open by this fall at the latest, if not earlier. I’ll let you know once it opens, after I ride it myself! 😉

Sea World’s new roller coaster Manta open!

Well it’s time to get everyone up to date on the latest news around Orlando, Fl! So what better way then to announce the grand opening of Sea World’s new roller coaster, Manta! It will have it’s official opening the 22nd, Friday. But people already can ride it, and word of mouth is it’s a fantastic ride!

Billed as the only one of it’s kind in Florida, Manta has a sneak twist to it. You get in like any other roller coaster that hangs under the rail. But then once your all strapped in place it moves you all forward and down, until your stretched out almost like in a superman position. You can imagine how much faster it seems to be going when your face down looking at the ground zoom by.

Manta Puts you through loops and turns, followed by what looks like near misses of waterfalls and other objects. It has a nice aquatic theme in keeping with the parks animals and fish. It’s a very fun ride and the neat position you get put into is one you have to experience. A word of warning however.

Make sure you take EVERYTHING out of your pockets, off your head and around your neck! Nothing you try to keep on you will stay on unless it’s tied on you. Hats, sunglasses, flip flops, phones in your pocket, change, everything will fall off you. Use the lockers near the ride to store all your stuff. Then get ready for the ride of your life!

New flying roller coaster Manta at Sea World youtube video

It’s been pretty cool the past couple of nights here in Orlando, hope it warms up. Of course for those up north I’m sure it’s hot compared to up there! Anyways I wanted to give you a sneak peek at a brand new roller coaster being made at Sea World. It’s called Manta, and it will be what is called a flying roller coaster.

Okay so just what is a flying roller coaster? It’s one where you step into it and get all buckled up. Then the thing tilts you forward so your in kind of a “superman” position, neat huh! It will seat 4 across and your knees will still be bent, but your front body is extended out and flat to the ground, sort of. The sensation you get will be like flying.

The total height of the coaster is 140 feet, with a 113 foot first drop. It has a top speed of 56 mph, but in that flying position it will feel a lot faster! It will last about 2 and a half minutes, and the height requirement to get on is 52 inches or higher. It is scheduled to be open on May 22 of this year, 2009. So check out the youtube video of the flying roller coaster ride Manta at Sea World!

Disney World Expedition Everest roller coaster youtube video

Well everyone, I’ve had a long day today. So, I’m going to make this a quickie post! That means I’m going to show you a youtube video. This one is a cool one about Walt Disney Worlds animal kingdom roller coaster called Expedition Everest. It’s suppose to be themed that your going up mount Everest, and you get attacked by the Yeti, an ape-like creature.

At first the ride goes a bit slow, and you start to think “is that all”? But it has some surprises, and saves the high speed twist and turns for the last part of the ride. It goes into several dark tunnels, and even goes uphill backward in some spots! It’s at the Animal Kingdom at Disney World, and one of the best rides at that park. So enjoy this youtube video of Expedition Everest roller coaster at Animal Kingdom!
