Very soon it will be time for Universal Studios Mardi Gras parade 2013! This year you can celebrate Mardi Gras at Universal Studios with performances by Miami rapper Pitbull, pop star Demi Lovato, Sean Kingston, Lifehouse and other great artists!

This annual event will take place on select nights from February 9 to April 20. Guests can enjoy colorful street performances, dazzling parades, live concerts, and delicious food.

Are you ready to party? Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration brings 14 of music’s biggest names live in concert on the stage! The whole family will enjoy this fun filled event! You can dance along with dozens of street performers, watch the spectacular parade, and eat authentic Cajun food.

Thinking about heading to New Orleans for Mardi Gras? Why not check out the celebration at Universal Studios, instead? Come on down to warm, sunny Florida and enjoy some spicy Cajun cuisine, awesome music, and an amazing parade at Universal Studios Mardi Gras 2011 party.

This year Universal Studios Mardi Gras 2011 party is Every Saturday and select nights from February 12th – April 23rd. The Mardi Gras parade is at dusk while the Mardi Gras concerts are February 12 – April 9: 8:30 pm and April 16 & 23: 9:30pm.

It’s going to be the biggest Mardi Gras celebration in the U.S. outside the Big Easy! The food here will tempt the most jaded gourmet – authentic Cajun and Creole dishes that include main courses, desserts, and snacks.

Mardi Gras parade at Universal Studios 2010 youtube video

Well everyone, I took a cool video of the Mardi Gras parade at Universal Studios Orlando this past weekend. In fact it’s my very first video with my new camcorder. I think it came out well, although night videos with a standard camcorder is not that great.

But I got all the floats and dancers, plus all the music and people yelling! I can see I need to zoom in a bit more on big objects like the floats to see the details. But again, being at night did not help.

Also I got to Universal Studios during the day when it was warm and just had on my T shirt. By the time the Mardi Gras parade started at 8:00 PM it was cold! So I was shivering like crazy, I really tested out the ant-shake device in the camera, lol!

It seems to work good since you can’t see too much shake. The microphone works pretty good too. I will go back during the day and take videos of all the Mardi Gras characters they have walking around during the daytime. Anyway I hope you enjoy this Mardi Gras parade youtube video I made at Universal Studios!

Well it’s almost time for Universal Studios Mardi Gras! Each year Universal Studios in Orlando holds it’s own cool version of Mardi Gras from New Orleans. With parades, it’s own French Quarter area, New Orleans food, music and shows; Universal Studios Mardi Gras is always a big hit. The Mardi Gras parade floats are very colorful and just like the ones in New Orleans.

The dates for Universal Studios Mardi Gras events are Saturday Nights: February 6 – April 17, 2010 PLUS Sunday, February 14 and Friday, April 9. The Mardi Gras parade times are : February 6 – March 20, April 17: 8:00 pm March 27 – April 10: 9:00 pm

The French Quarter area at Universal features plenty of Authentic Cajun & Creole Cuisine from New Orleans. Dance to blues musicians and bands straight from New Orleans. Performance Times: February 6 – March 20, April 17 – 5:00 pm, 6:15 pm, 7:15 pm March 27 – April 10 – 5:00 pm, 6:15 pm, 8:00 pm.

Universal Studios Mardi Gras Times and Events

I always seem to post about events going on a little bit late. I’ve got to get out there more often! Well, there is still plenty of time for this event, which is Universal Studios Mardi Gras celebration. In case you did not know, each year Universal Studios has their own version of New Orleans Mardi Gras. Complete with parade floats and lots of live bands.

They also throw out all those cheap beads, candy and doubloons just like in the real one. They make their own floats and have many live performers dancing on the floats and walking next to them. They even have lots of those hot chicks in skimpy costumes, but not as skimpy as the ones in New Orleans!

Universal Studios Mardi Gras is a very colorful and loud event that takes place in the evening. So your not as hot as you would be standing in the sun, but I don’t think that was the reason. They just want to hold it after normal park hours so it’s a separate event and does not distract from the normal park activities. Here’s a list of the live concerts this year: [Read more…]
