Walt Disney World cruises on Disney’s Magic cruise ship

Walt Disney World cruises on Disney's cruise ship Magic

One of the most fantastic things you can do is take a cruise on one of Walt Disney World’s cruise ships. Based in Port Canaveral just 40 minutes away from Walt Disney in Orlando, taking a Disney cruise is a once in a lifetime event. Let’s talk a bit about one of their cruise ships.

The Disney Magic—along with its sister ship, the Disney Wonder are the key to a unique cruise experience. The spirit of Walt Disney has come up with the perfect holiday for everyone. Catering particularly well to families with children, Disney Cruise Line has already become one of the most popular entertainment options available at Disney World.

Family travelers say that there are “continuous activities” for the kids. In fact, Disney Magic has something special for everyone. The place is set up with a family beach, a kid’s area and an adult beach. The children’s program is organized and run by dozens of caring youth counselors; Disney has done a wonderful job arranging a short, fun, activity paced family cruise.

The crew is amazing, starting from the minute you board and are announced upon arrival. Both ships are based in Port Canaveral, but offer very different itinerary options. Access to the Disney characters, quality of service, quality of food and the overall experience is simply amazing. The shows are very well done with a typical Disney story line. As one might expect, every show is a Disney themed show.

Imagine getting on a ship and being greeted like you are royalty. You sit down and you are catered to in every way. Onboard shopping is only allowed when you’re far enough out to sea. Theaters are designed to offer family entertainment with large-scale production shows, dances, lively game shows and movies.

The ship itself is beautiful, with all the Disney touches. This is definitely a family oriented cruise line, but there are quiet areas for adults only. With the Disney Cruise, you also have many different choices as to how you book your vacation, whether you want all cruise time or The land and Sea package. To top it all off, there is a separate beach and cabana area on the other side of the island for adults only.

The staterooms are awesome and the staff, from all over the world, is truly professional. The entertainment is fun and follows in true Disney style with the characters showing up for every event. If you’re kids like meeting the Disney characters, then the Cruise Line literally has half a dozen character appearances each day. Disney pampers you the best they can considering the thousands of people on the ship.

There are always fun activities to participate in and the kid’s clubs are great. It is hard to say who enjoys this trip more, the kids or the parents. Whether you’re a family or a single, Disney Magic will make you feel like the cruise was made just for you!

The Disney Magic can carry up to 2,400 passengers with 945 cast and crew members.
