IllumiNations: Relections of Earth is a show that takes place at Disney World’s Epcot theme park. The show lasts 14 minutes every night unless it’s canceled due to weather restrictions.
Specific show times may change, so be sure to check the schedule. This amazing show is made up of fireworks, lasers, and water, along with music. Every member of the family is sure to enjoy this spectacular show!
It can be viewed from anywhere within the World Showcase that offers an unobstructed view of the lagoon.
This brilliant nightly occurrence is shown above the World Showcase Lagoon, which means you actually get to see two shows – one in the sky and the other in the water’s reflection! It focuses on the many different nations of our planet’s past, present, and future, using a spherical video display system.
This system is the first of its kind in the world. The spherical Earth globe weighs an astonishing 350,000 pounds! Imagine feeling like you’re in space and looking down at the Earth. It is truly an amazing show.
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth delivers our planet’s life in three distinct acts. The first of these acts is very appropriately called Chaos. This act lets you feel as if you were there at the time the Earth was born.
The “chaos” of the act is represented by the flying balls of fire, which are launched high in the air. The second act is titled Order. During this act, be prepared to witness a parade of important people with great achievements, who helped shape the Earth as it is today.
You’ll see Earth beautifully illuminated. Once the third act begins, get ready to hold on to your seats, or feet, if you are standing! The third act is called Meaning. There is an awesome broadcasting of delightfully placed lights and fireworks.
This final act demonstrates the wonderful future of Earth. Don’t miss out on this extravaganza! It’s a wonderful show for the entire family. So if you go to Disney’s Epcot theme park, make sure you stay till the end and see the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth show!
