Walt Disney World fourth of July 2011 events, fireworks

Once again it’s time to see what the Walt Disney World fourth of July 2011 events and fireworks are going to be like this year! For the most part it’s the same each year, or at least for the past few years.

The 4th of July at Walt Disney World is always one of the most crowded days of the whole year. Only Christmas day and New Years Eve has crowds as big at the Disney theme parks.

So let this be a warning to you, if your going to go to one of the Disney World theme parks on the fourth of July 2011, get there early, stay all day and be prepared for large crowds. It will be a long drive home also!

Each of the four Disney theme parks will have something special going on July 4th. As always the most popular will be the magic kingdom park. It always fills to capacity on the fourth of July and then they do not allow anyone else in.

So if your going to the magic kingdom get there early and do not leave the park. In fact I recommend staying all day at any of the parks you go to on this day. What will be the best park for the least crowds?

Of the four I would pick Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park to be the least crowded. Even then it will be very full. Hollywood Studios has some very nice shows and fireworks, some of the best I think.

Speaking of that, Walt Disney World 4th of July fireworks are some of the best you can see. They have some really cool firework displays that fit in with Independence day.

Disney’s Epcot theme park

Park hours: 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
12:30, 1:45, 3:00 PM: Voices of Liberty 4th of July Concert
10:00 PM: Special “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” laser and fireworks display

Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park

Park hours: 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
3:00 PM: Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun! show
9:00 PM: Fantasmic! show and fireworks
9:50 PM: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Special July 4th Fireworks display

Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park

Park hours: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
3:45 PM: Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade show

That’s the current schedule for the Walt Disney World fourth of July 2011 events, shows and fireworks. Times may change, if they do I’ll try to update this list. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the only theme park with no fireworks display due to the animals.

Catching the Disney World 4th of July fireworks is something many do each year. I know some locals just drive close to Disney, park on the side of the road and watch the fireworks from their cars!

But it’s much better inside the theme parks of course. However if you don’t like crowds then please do NOT go on July fourth, you’ll hate it. Allow an hour or more just to drive out of Disney property.
