Walt Disney World Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2010

With all the holiday specials going on here in Orlando, one of the main ones is Disney’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2010! For Disney fans this is a big event, one they wait all year for.

Each year during selected nights in November and December, which I list below, Disney holds a special Christmas party at the Magic Kingdom. It’s called Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and for 2010 it’s better than ever!

You have to buy separate tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, normal park admission tickets does not include this event. It runs from 7:00 PM to midnight on the selected nights.

Because only guest with these tickets are allowed in the park it normally is a bit less crowded than a normal holiday crowd during the day. So what can you expect to see and do during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2010?

Well for one, almost all the rides will be running as normal. So you will find shorter lines at most rides. There will be live entertainment with your favorite Disney characters throughout the park all night.

A special fireworks show will be shown, called Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season. Cinderella’s castle will be lit up with special holiday lights that make it seem to glow like an ice castle!

So the fireworks blasting behind the castle really make a spectacular show and is something you can only see during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. For some that’s reason enough!

Then of course will be the big Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, featuring all your Disney characters in Holiday outfits and Christmas themed floats. Even Santa himself will be in it!

Besides all that you can do a meet and greet with Disney characters, get complimentary cookies and hot cocoa and have your picture taken with Mickey and other Disney characters dressed in their Christmas finest.

Also you can see a magical snowfall on Main Street, USA several times during the night. Of course you’ll be able to see all the wonderful Christmas decorations lit up throughout the park also.

So as you can see, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2010 is a wonderful holiday event for the whole family and one that you will remember for a long time. The sights are beautiful so make sure you take your camera.

If you love Disney, than you will want to take in Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2010. Kids love it, but adults have a lot of fun too. All of the Magic Kingdom main restaurants will be open too. Check it out this year!
