Modeled after the old-fashioned seashore hotels of Nantucket Island and Martha’s Vineyard, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is less than a mile from the Epcot World Showcase entrance and one mile from Disney’s Hollywood Studios by ferryboat. Restaurants and entertainment at the Boardwalk are also conveniently close by.
The centerpiece of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is Stormalong Bay, a large pool area featuring a shipwreck-themed water slide, water currents, sandy bottom, a small kids’ water slide and a quiet pool. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort shares its recreational facilities with the adjacent property, Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
There is a fully-equipped health and fitness center free of charge for resort guests, a lake-side white sand beach on Crescent Lake, arcade room, a 24-hour playground for kids and Fishing Excursions at the marina. Active guests will enjoy the resort’s tennis court, jogging trail and volleyball court.

The Captains Grill is located inside the Disney’s Yacht Club. Here you can enjoy sizzling seafood and American classics. Yachtsman Steakhouse is a Signature Dining dinner restaurant which offers beef, seafood, poultry and chops, all cooked on an oak-fired grill.
Hurricane Hanna’s serves mostly snacks, burgers and specialty drinks. Other dinning options include Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, Crew’s Cup Lounge and Ale & Compass Lounge. Prices are fair and the quality of the food is superb.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is a great place for families with young children. The resort has 630 guestrooms inspired by New England yacht clubs at the turn of the 20th century. All rooms have air conditioning, balcony/ terrace, mini-bar, high speed Internet access, climate control, daily housekeeping, microwave, refrigerator and satellite television. The rooms are very big and have plenty of draws, cupboards and wardrobe space.
The fireworks at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are magical, and Disney does it like no other. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort has one of the best pool areas available which is perfect when you need to rest from a long day at the parks. The staff at this hotel is well trained, polite and always goes beyond to help. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. It is money well spent.
