Well let me explain. Each year around the Holidays Gaylord Palms sets up an enormous tent outside the hotel. In fact it’s around 18,000 square feet big! Then they cool it down to only 9 degrees!

Next they truck in two million pounds of specially made ice blocks into the tent for the ICE at Gaylord Palms show. Some are crystal clear, while others are colored.

Of all the Walt Disney World resorts, the most famous is the Contemporary resort. This was one of the first Walt Disney World resort hotels made on Disney property, and the only one with Disney’s monorail train running right through it.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is in walking distance of the Magic Kingdom and six miles from Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is also connected to the other parks through a monorail which runs through the interior of the hotel.

On the other side, guests can enjoy the Electrical Water Pageant and Bay Lake. There is nothing better than staying on site for the complete Disney experience. You can clearly see the Magic Kingdom and the late night fireworks from this Walt Disney World resort.

Disney’s newest value hotel, the Pop Century Resort, is a whimsical time capsule of 20th-century pop culture. The resort is divided into decades from the 1950s through the 1990s. The buildings are designed as time capsules of the way Americans used to live during these five decades.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort features 2,880 rooms decorated with giant icons including bowling pins, jukeboxes, characters from The Jungle Book and other Disney stories, yo-yos, eight-track tapes and much more. There are lots of interesting things to look at while walking around the grounds.

The resort has three heated pools with themes, a smaller bowling pin-shaped Bowling Pool, a lower-shaped Hippy Dippy Pool and the ’80s computer-themed pool. There is also an unheated pool for children, a playground with a Goofy water feature and an arcade. If you love shopping, feel free to visit Everything Pop shop inside the Classic Hall building to pick up a few souvenirs. Those who feel the need to exercise can walk or jog around Disney’s Pop Century Resort on a 1.38-mile trail.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter reflects the style and architecture of New Orleans’ French Quarter.
