Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a moderately-priced Walt Disney World resorts near Epcot and features 2,112 guest rooms, a large pool area and several small sandy beaches.

This Walt Disney World resort is designed with a Caribbean theme and offers various water sports at the Marina. What is so special about this place is that it has two story buildings clustered into five lakefront tropical island villages: Trinidad (separated into North and South), Aruba, Barbados, Martinique and Jamaica.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is very beautiful and well maintained. The transportation throughout the resort and to the parks is easy, convenient, and on time. The property is bigger than most other Disney properties, so be prepared to walk.

Once again this year the Gaylord Palms hotel in the Orlando area will be hosting the Gaylord ICE show 2010. So just what is the ICE at Gaylord Palms show all about?

Well let me explain. Each year around the Holidays Gaylord Palms sets up an enormous tent outside the hotel. In fact it’s around 18,000 square feet big! Then they cool it down to only 9 degrees!

Next they truck in two million pounds of specially made ice blocks into the tent for the ICE at Gaylord Palms show. Some are crystal clear, while others are colored.

Of all the Walt Disney World resorts, the most famous is the Contemporary resort. This was one of the first Walt Disney World resort hotels made on Disney property, and the only one with Disney’s monorail train running right through it.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is in walking distance of the Magic Kingdom and six miles from Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is also connected to the other parks through a monorail which runs through the interior of the hotel.

On the other side, guests can enjoy the Electrical Water Pageant and Bay Lake. There is nothing better than staying on site for the complete Disney experience. You can clearly see the Magic Kingdom and the late night fireworks from this Walt Disney World resort.

There are many kinds of people when it comes to Hotels. Some just want a cheap Orlando hotel that is clean and safe, close to the theme parks. They don’t see the need to spend a lot on a room they basically only sleep in at night.

Most people are surprised at how many nice, cheap Orlando hotels there are right near Disney, Sea World and Universal Studios. Many are right next door to 5 star hotels that charge hundreds per night!

Why spend $250.00 per night at a hotel when within a stone’s throw distance is another chain hotel that only cost $40.00 per night? Again it all depends on the type of person you are, there is no wrong or right to it.

Across the lagoon from the Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Polynesian Resort features a white-sand beach, tropical gardens, live entertainment and island hospitality. The Poly, as it’s affectionately known, is an AAA Four-Diamond award winning resort offering eleven longhouses that house the guest rooms.

Rooms are decorated in “island style,” with bamboo fixtures, prints and tropical paintings. You feel like you are really in Hawaii or some other sort of Polynesian place. Many guests prefer Disney’s Polynesian Resort for convenience.

There is a stretch of beach along a lagoon dotted with palm trees and hammocks, canopy boats and mini-motorboats available for rent in the marina, a volcano-themed swimming pool, spa tubs, children’s pool, arcade room and supervised child care/activities. Disney’s newest value hotel, the Pop Century Resort, is a whimsical time capsule of 20th-century pop culture. The resort is divided into decades from the 1950s through the 1990s. The buildings are designed as time capsules of the way Americans used to live during these five decades.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort features 2,880 rooms decorated with giant icons including bowling pins, jukeboxes, characters from The Jungle Book and other Disney stories, yo-yos, eight-track tapes and much more. There are lots of interesting things to look at while walking around the grounds.

The resort has three heated pools with themes, a smaller bowling pin-shaped Bowling Pool, a lower-shaped Hippy Dippy Pool and the ’80s computer-themed pool. There is also an unheated pool for children, a playground with a Goofy water feature and an arcade. If you love shopping, feel free to visit Everything Pop shop inside the Classic Hall building to pick up a few souvenirs. Those who feel the need to exercise can walk or jog around Disney’s Pop Century Resort on a 1.38-mile trail.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter reflects the style and architecture of New Orleans’ French Quarter. It is a very peaceful resort for Disney that any family with teens and young couples would enjoy.

This wonderful place has a great location, being close to Epcot theme park, Downtown Disney Area and Disney’s BoardWalk Area. The resort is approximately 20 miles from Orlando International Airport. The buses run regularly and you can talk a boat to Downtown Disney.

The food court is convenient and has a good selection of family safe options. Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here you can serve real American food including baked goods, burgers, pizza and ice cream. Other restaurants and pubs are available at nearby Disney’s Port Orleans Resort –Riverside.
