Daytona Beach Bike Week 2015 Picture Gallery!

Daytona bike week pictures

I had a chance to check out this years Daytona Beach Bike Week 2015 last week. There seemed to be a good number of bikers this year, more than last years. I went during the week, it gets crazy busy on the weekend there.

As usual I checked out my two favorite spots; the Daytona speedway area that always has cool custom bikes, and the popular Main street area. I found out this year how expensive that great looking BBQ food is they serve everywhere, about 25 bucks a meal!

Anyways I took a bunch of pics and made a cool gallery of them. Make sure you check out the new “batmobile” looking trikes they had this year, very cool. Enjoy my Daytona Beach Bike Week 2015 Picture Gallery!

Well it’s a bit late, but I thought you all would like to see my pictures I took of this years Daytona Beach Bike Week 2014! It was fun, I went two days. Most of the pics below are custom bikes they show off at the speedway.

I like going there as you can see all the cool custom bikes and lots of good vendors with loads of stuff to check out. Plus you can test drive a lot of different motorcycles.

But I also went down to the beach and Main street and got some good pictures there too. I’m using a different picture gallery as my other one had problems. So enjoy this Daytona Beach Bike week picture gallery! :)

Bike week 2013 picture gallery

Hi everyone! I went to this years Daytona beach 2013 bike week like I do every year. The day I went happened to be a cold and windy day out. So there were not too many biker babes walking around in bikinis. :(

In fact the beaches were empty, as you can see in some of my pictures. I went down to the beach, walked up main street where everything was going on, then drove over to the Daytona speedway.

Outside the track they always set up lots of cool new and custom bikes for sale. Some are amazing and one of a kind. So I took a lot of videos and pictures of it all, including when I was down on main street.

Spring Break 2010 in Daytona Beach starts March 7th

Spring break in Daytona beach 2010

Well it’s almost spring break time at Daytona Beach here in Florida! Close to Orlando at about 60 miles, many spring breakers visit both Daytona Beach and Orlando during their stay. Daytona beach is not as wild as it use to be, back when they had all those MTV specials.

They use to even have Jerry Springer shows on the beach during spring break here! But the city cleaned up the place a bit, cracking down on all the wild parties and drunken vandalism.

However it’s still a popular spot for spring breakers, and Daytona has some nice new places right on the beach for entertainment and fun. Yes you can still drive right out on the beach in places too!

Daytona 500 NASCAR races at Daytona Beach 2010

Daytona 500 NASCAR races at Daytona Beach 2010

On Feb. 14th it will be time for the Daytona 500 NASCAR races! That kind of slipped up on me as I don’t follow NASCAR that much. I’ve never gone and seen a NASCAR race, but I’ve driven by the Daytona 500 race track while the races were on. Trust me, traffic is a mess!

Those who love NASCAR, which includes my 78 yr. old mom, dream of being able to attend the Daytona 500 races. They have lots of shops that set up in front of the track, as well as all around the area for miles. You can find everything from NASCAR T shirts to full race car hoods painted with your favorite driver on it!

If you have an RV or camper there is a big field next to the track that fills up with thousands of all types of RV’s. They park bumper to bumper in long lines. I guess if you need to leave before everyone else your out of luck as they can’t go anywhere!

Spring Break in Daytona Beach and Orlando

Hi everyone! Right now, March 1st, bike week in Daytona Beach and Orlando is still in full swing. But next week, on the 9th through the 29th of March, is spring break! Yes it’s that time when the college kids take off from school and go crazy. Daytona Beach has been both a popular and unpopular place for spring break over the years.

In it’s heyday MTV held shows at Daytona Beach spring break. They had some years when the kids got a bit out of hand, and the powers that be in Daytona did not want them there anymore. But, over the last few years it has once again become more spring break friendly, with a little more rules in place so it’s not a free-for-all.

Since Daytona beach is only around 60 miles away from Orlando, it gets it’s fair share of breakers that fly into the Orlando airport and stay in Orlando. Indeed many come to Orlando for the theme parks and other attractions, going to the beach maybe once or twice. The beaches of Daytona and theme parks of Orlando make for a great combination. Bike week in Daytona Beach and Orlando

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to talk about the upcoming bike week in Daytona. Now just like my post on the Daytona 500, Orlando gets a lot of overflow tourist from bike week even though it’s in Daytona Beach, about 60 miles away. In fact many fly in from the Orlando airport, get a hotel in Orlando and drive out to Daytona during the day.

I myself have been to bike week several times. I use to have a courier route that went right down A1A, which is the beach front road. I got stuck in that sea of bikers all week long with my cargo van, what a pain! However it was cool to see all the bikes,,,, and biker chicks! :) I also went there just for the event last year.

If you’ve never been there you just can’t imagine the sight of over 600,000 bikes all in one town. That’s over half a million motorcycles riding down the road. You know that sound when a dozen or so bikers ride by? Picture that sound 10 times louder and never stopping all day! If you don’t like load noises, bike week is not for you. [Read more…]

Staying in Orlando for the Daytona 500 NASCAR races

Well I did it again, being just a few days late about an event I should have posted about here in Orlando! Yesterday was the Daytona 500, the first race of the season for NASCAR. Of course the Daytona 500 is not in Orlando, it’s in Daytona Beach. But many get a hotel in Orlando or come to Orlando to do the tourist stuff.

Daytona Beach is around 60 miles north-east of Orlando. The best way to get there is on I-4, which goes straight there. I use to have a courier route that took me right past the track all week long. Now I have to admit I’m not a big fan of racing, but my mom sure is! She watches every race that comes on TV.

On race day it can be damn hard to find a place to park. The parking right there at the track quickly fills up and then people start parking everywhere all around it. The shops around the Daytona 500 track get real tough with their parking. If you can’t prove your there to use their store your going to get your car towed. [Read more…]
