Disney’s Epcot Flower And Garden Festival 2014 Picture Gallery

Disney's Epcot flower and garden festival 2014

It’s been some time since I posted in here, sorry about that. Been very busy with new ventures and life in general. Nothing stays the same you know! As a result I have not updated this site for a bit.

But today I went to Disney’s Epcot flower and garden festival for 2014. I must say it was very pretty there with lots of fantastic flower and garden showcases and exhibits. It was a perfect day, not too many people, even got a sunburn!

I took a ton of pictures, it got hard to decide just what to keep and throw away. They had a lot of very cool Topiaries shaped like Disney characters. That is the practice of making plants and flowers form the shape of a person or animal.

Time to hit the Disney parks now!

Disney vacations

For those of you who know me, I don’t have kids. Because of that my Disney and theme park plans are often a bit different than those who do have little ones.

It also played a part in the type of annual Disney pass I got. Summer is just about over and the kids are going back to school. For those with kids that means only being able to do things as a family during the weekends for the most part.

But for those childless ones like myself it’s the start of the best time of year to go to all the theme parks during the week. That’s why I choose and have a Disney weekday select pass.

Choosing a Walt Disney World annual pass ticket

Walt Disney World annual pass tickets

If your a Florida resident, one of the best ways to save on Disney tickets is to get an annual pass. Since my mom and sister are coming down this fall I decided to get one. We will spend at least two days at a Disney park.

For the price of two tickets I can almost get a cheaper annual pass, so it makes more sense for me to get that. Right at the moment Disney offers 5 different types of Florida resident annual passes.

Walt Disney World New Year’s Eve fireworks, events for 2011 / 2012

Walt Disney World New Years Eve fireworks and events for 2011/2012

Walt Disney World has finally came out with their plans for this years New Year’s Eve fireworks, parades and events for 2011 to 2012. So the following is all the information I have of what’s going on at the theme parks and other Disney resorts on New Years Eve December 31st. :)

Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park
The Magic Kingdom is the most popular Disney theme park to spend New Years Eve. That means it’s the most crowded and it WILL reach capacity and close to anymore guest once that happens. When that will occur is hard to say but it may be as early as mid afternoon.

So my advice is, if you want to see the late night shows and fireworks in the Magic Kingdom for New Years Eve, plan on going in before noon and staying there until your done for the night. This is not a good day to be park hopping!

Most of the shows, parades and fireworks are the same as last year. The times may change a bit, so double check a day or two before going in for the schedule of events. With that in mind here’s the plan so far:

Walt Disney World’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2011

Disney Mickey's very merry Christmas party 2011

The holidays are always special at Walt Disney World, and one of the biggest and best events there is Disney’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party held at the Magic Kingdom theme park each year at night. For 2011 it’s even better!

For millions of children around the world, Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse has long been associated with Christmas. It probably began with some of the Mickey Mouse Christmas cartoons, especially Mickey’s Christmas Carol. With a trip to Orlando’s Magic Kingdom, your kids can be a part of the Disney Christmas magic.

During the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2011, the Magic Kingdom is transformed into a winter wonderland, with all the lights, music, and props you’d expect from Disney. Cinderella’s Castle is spectacular donned in its holiday lights!

Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion ride at The Magic Kingdom review

Disney's Haunted Mansion ride review

It’s time for another one of my theme park ride reviews! Today I’ll give a quick review of an old classic, Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride in the Magic Kingdom theme park.

Located at Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, this is a definite must-see for all ages. Actually, this is more than a “must see” – it’s more of a “must experience.”

Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride takes place in a large colonial manor, complete with wall sconces, cobwebs, caskets, eerie background music, screams, statues, moans, and plenty of creaks. There are also “cold spots,” so several of your senses are bombarded by the ghostly experience.

Walt Disney World’s Lake Buena Vista golf course

Walt Disney World Lake Buena Vista golf course

There are many golf courses to choose from in Orlando, Florida. Walt Disney World has several great ones. In fact they have some of the best golf courses around, some which host classic games.

If you’re visiting Orlando and want to get your golf game on, check out Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. The course received a four-star rating form Golf Digest, so you know it has to be awesome.

The fairways and greens are meticulously maintained, and they’re beautiful, too. Included are lakes, forested areas, villas, and canals. Bunkered greens, winding fairways, and islands create a course that’s both fun and challenging. This course is so amazing that it’s been the site for numerous USGA, PGA, and LPGA events. You can play where the pros play!

Walt Disney World Miniature Golf Courses

Disney miniature golf courses

Walt Disney World has four different fun miniature golf courses you can play on in case you did not know. They are each themed differently in detail, just like the theme parks.

Playing a round or two of miniature golf is a wonderful way for families to spend time together. It also allows kids a chance to burn off some nervous energy. Like everything else at Walt Disney World in Orlando, the golf courses are amazing!

Disney’s Fantasia Gardens miniature golf course is located in the Epcot Resort area. Based on the famous movie, the course includes lots of whimsical characters from Fantasia, along with some pretty amazing special water effects.

Walt Disney World Space Mountain ride review

Disney space mountain at the Magic Kingdom!

Space Mountain is one of the most well known attractions located in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This popular ride is a not a typical roller coaster, as it features spatial-effects lighting, windows that appear to look out into the universe and thrills from beginning to end.

The space mountain ride at Disney’s Magic Kingdom had a total refurbishing not too long ago. The improvements make it even more fun to ride.

One great improvement is that there are two tracks side by side, and you blast off at the same time on identical configured tracks in the dark.
