It’s time once again to tell you what will be going on at this years Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2011! Last year I was a bit disappointed as everything seemed the same, so to speak.

But this year they seem to be mixing it up a bit so maybe it will be worth the price. Each year they have a central theme, or head horror character. This year that character seems to be Lady Luck.

As it says in their official Halloween Horror nights website, try your luck at staying alive during horror nights and hope your luck does not run out! Sounds pretty cool to me.

Now that the final Harry Potter movie has been out, we all know kids this year will want Harry Potter toys for Christmas. One of the most popular types are the Harry Potter Lego sets.

So, I decided to make a brand new site dedicated to showcasing the newest and best HP Lego sets and mini figures! I am a big fan of Harry Potter and have a few of the Lego sets myself.

In fact these sets are getting to be great collectors items, not just toys for kids. Some are getting rare and will be worth some big bucks down the road if you keep the Lego pieces in good shape.

Back from my Vermont vacation, pictures and videos!

Hey everyone! Where does someone who lives in Orlando go on their summer vacation? Well in my case it was back up to my home state of Vermont! I’ve been gone for a week and just got back.

It was nice up there, great weather. I spent time seeing all the family and so on, checking out the places I use to go to and all that. This time I did something special however.

In Stowe, Vermont is Mount Mansfield. It’s the highest peak in the state and where the best Vermont skiing is. They have a huge ski lodge at the base of it that also is a hotel.

Disney’s Pleasure Island makeover stalled again

Downtown Disney pleasure island makeover stalled

For many locals here in Orlando, Disney’s Pleasure Island used to be a great place to go for late night adult entertainment. They had several cool nightclubs to go to and good restaurants.

Mannequins nightclub (not sure if I spelled that right) was very cool with live dancers, two floors and a revolving dance floor. When I worked 3rd shift at Disney I use to go there before my shift and hang out a lot.

Disney closed Pleasure Island a few years ago, the reason they gave was that is was not making enough and it did not fit their family friendly theme. Actually they closed the clubs; you can still walk through the area and a few small shops are still open.

Today I wanted give all you Universal Studios Halloween Horror nights fans an update. They have a website just for this event and they have been updating it as this years event gets closer.

They now have all the Universal Studios Halloween Horror nights ticket prices and express passes set, so you can buy them now. If your a devoted fan of this gore-fess then you want to get them fast!

The express passes cost extra. They are an extra pass on top of your normal ticket that lets you by-pass the normal lines for ONE time per haunted house and select rides per night.

For all you Harry Potter fans I wanted to let you know of a special event that will be going on at Universal Studios The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, November 11 to 13 2011.

As you all know the very last Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 2, has now been shown, wrapping up the incredible Harry Potter saga.

I went and saw it a few weeks ago, it was fantastic! Anyways, now that all the Harry Potter movies have been shown Universal Studios decided to make a special event for this fall to celebrate all the great Harry Potter movies.

New baby dolphin born at SeaWorld Orlando

Hey everyone, for you SeaWorld and dolphin fans I thought I’d show you a few pictures of the latest addition over at SeaWorld Orlando. About a week ago a brand new baby dolphin was born!

This cute Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin was born to Ariel, a dolphin they have had for a while. It weighs 35 pounds but is growing fast. They have mom and the baby in the dolphin nursery tank.

The dolphin nursery is where expectant dolphins, mothers and calfs live for several years before being moved to a new home in the dolphin cove habitat.

Right now there are 8 adult dolphins and 3 dolphin calfs living in the nursery. The new baby has not been named yet and they don’t know the gender of it as of now.

So if you go to SeaWorld soon make sure you head over to the dolphin nursery tank and see the brand new baby dolphin. Mom and baby are doing fine and making guest happy as they see the cute new baby!

SeaWorld Orlando is open all year from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM with extended hours during holidays. Spend a day there and see all the wonderful marine life and check out the great rides!

Disney's great movie ride at Hollywood Studios review

The Great Movie Ride is located on Hollywood Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. The attraction is for all ages, with no height requirements, although some of the action might be too intense for small children. It’s an indoor attraction that explores the history of movies and Tinsel Town.

The attraction begins as guests enter a life-size model of the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater. In the lobby, you’ll be able to view the actual props and costumes from famous movies.

These might include a dress from Shakespeare in Love, the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, Indiana Jones’ machete, or a carousel horse from Mary Poppins.

It’s the middle of the summer season here in Orlando, Florida. Summer is the busiest time of the year for Walt Disney world, Universal Studios and SeaWorld. Heck for everything down here.

So I thought I’d give you some tips and tricks you can use if your visiting the theme parks this summer in Orlando. It’s the hottest time of the year with temperatures in the 90’s each and every day.

Because of that make sure you put on plenty of sunscreen. Even cloudy days will give you a sunburn that will surprise you. Put it on your face, arms and shoulders if nothing else.
