Re-done Spider Man ride at Universal Studios running again!

Re-done spiderman ride now running!

For all you Spiderman ride fans, I’m happy to say they have finished re-doing the ride at Universal Studios and it’s now running again! They closed it down for a complete overhaul not long ago.

Basically they have updated the projection screen to high definition, so everything looks better with more detail. The basic plot remains the same, but with new scenes and a little bit different layout.

It also has a new sound system and a 3D projection. So combined it really makes it quite a bit different than the old ride and so it will be like going on it for the first time.

Disney Epcot GM test track ride getting a makeover

If you’ve kept up with the news at Disney for the past couple of years, you probably know that General Motors, the huge auto maker, has had some financial problems.

Also, if you’ve been to Epcot, you’re most likely familiar with the GM Test Track ride attraction. In light of GM’s woes, many Test Track fans were concerned about the fate of the premier attraction. Not to worry – GM and Disney have made a new deal!

Test Track is currently scheduled to close in the spring of 2012, but it’s going to reopen in the autumn, better than ever. The Chevrolet will be the new star, and guests to the theme park will have the chance to design and create their own custom Chevies.

The Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney's great movie ride at Hollywood Studios review

The Great Movie Ride is located on Hollywood Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. The attraction is for all ages, with no height requirements, although some of the action might be too intense for small children. It’s an indoor attraction that explores the history of movies and Tinsel Town.

The attraction begins as guests enter a life-size model of the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater. In the lobby, you’ll be able to view the actual props and costumes from famous movies.

These might include a dress from Shakespeare in Love, the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, Indiana Jones’ machete, or a carousel horse from Mary Poppins.

Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion ride at The Magic Kingdom review

Disney's Haunted Mansion ride review

It’s time for another one of my theme park ride reviews! Today I’ll give a quick review of an old classic, Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride in the Magic Kingdom theme park.

Located at Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, this is a definite must-see for all ages. Actually, this is more than a “must see” – it’s more of a “must experience.”

Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride takes place in a large colonial manor, complete with wall sconces, cobwebs, caskets, eerie background music, screams, statues, moans, and plenty of creaks. There are also “cold spots,” so several of your senses are bombarded by the ghostly experience.

New Cheetah Hunt roller coaster at Busch Gardens

One park I don’t talk about too much here is Busch Gardens. But today I wanted to tell you about their newest ride, the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster ride! Busch Gardens has some of the best roller coasters around, and the Cheetah Hunt is a great addition.

Hang on to your safari hats, folks, and hop on board the Cheetah Hunt Coaster! This is a great new ride at Busch Gardens in Tampa that opened on May 27, 2011.

The ride mimics a cheetah on the prowl and in the pursuit of prey. Several times during the ride, the coaster reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour, but it’s incredibly smooth and quiet – almost as graceful as a real cheetah!

Harry Potter Dragon Challenge roller coaster ride review

Harry Potter's Dragon Challenge roller coaster ride review

There are several great rides at the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. One of them is Dragon Challenge, and here’s my review of this cool roller coaster ride.

Dragon Challenge is a thrilling ride at Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It’s an update on the older Dueling Dragons ride. The coaster is unique because it includes not one, but two separate tracks and two different sets of cars.

One set of cars is the Hungarian Horntail dragon, and the other set of coaster cars is the Chinese Fireball dragon. The names are from the dragons you see in one of the Harry Potter movies.

Wizarding world of Harry Potter Flight of the Hippogriff ride

Wizarding world of Harry Potter Flight of the Hippogriff ride

If you have little kids in tow on your trip to The Wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, and they’re Harry Potter fans, they’ll probably be disappointed that they can’t ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Riders for that attraction have to be at least 48 inches tall. If, however, your little wizards are at least 36 inches tall, they can enjoy the Flight of the Hippogriff ride roller coaster.

What’s a hippogriff? A hippogriff is a mythological creature that has the head of an eagle and the body of a horse. Here’s the back story to the ride: Hagrid, the Care of Magical Creatures teacher, teaches young wizards-in-training to fly a Hippogriff.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Roller Coaster ride review

Walt Disney World Big Thunder Mountain railroad roller coaster

One of the most oldest and fun rides at Disney in the magic kingdom is the big thunder mountain railroad roller coaster! The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a relatively mild coaster that takes you through an abandoned gold mine in the old west.

Ride it again & again to take in all the wacky Disney touches. It is more exhilarating than anything else as you whiz inside and out of the mountain with spectacular views over Frontierland.

A ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad provides a fast and fun ride to those aboard— from big kids to adults. Along the way, there’s typical Disney styled animatronics of crows, goats and loose boulders. The animatronic goat that holds a stick of dynamite adds a note of humor to the entire scene.

Disney’s Spaceship Earth ride at Epcot review

Walt Disney World Spaceship earth ride at Epcot

The most eye catching sight at Walt Disney World’s Epcot theme park is the Spaceship Earth ride. This huge round ball is made with 11,324 individual triangles that form the outside!

Inside this big round ball is the Spaceship Earth ride. Here’s my Epcot’s Spaceship Earth ride review so you can find out what it’s about and if you think you want to go on it. :)

Scenes of scientific achievements add a dramatic new twist to the story of humanity from the beginning of time to the electronic age within Spaceship Earth, the story of communications throughout the ages.

Disney World’s Splash Mountain ride at Magic Kingdom review

Disney's splash mountain ride review

It’s time for another Disney ride review! This time it’s a review of Disney’s Splash Mountain.

Splash Mountain is a popular ride that’s located in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, in Frontierland. The attraction is based on the characters of Uncle Remus from the Disney movie Song of the South.

The Uncle Remus stories were created by Joel Chandler Harris, a Georgia native, and the scenery of the ride resembles the Georgia countryside. This includes the muddy river, the red clay, and the swampy area.
