The Simpsons ride at Universal Studios review

Universal Studios the Simpsons ride review

The Simpsons ride at Universal Studios is one of the most popular rides there. Here’s a quick The Simpsons ride review at Universal Studios so you can decide if it’s a ride you want to go on.

This six-minute ride is based on the popular television series, The Simpsons. To enjoy this zany ride, you’ll have to walk through a giant Krusty the Clown’s mouth to get to the circus pavilion and Krustyland, a cheap theme park created by the clown. After seeing some “live footage” of the Simpson family on an outing at Krustyland, guests are taken to the ride.

Shortly after entering the ride vehicle, Sideshow Bob, recently escaped from prison, takes over the park and the car goes on a wild ride complete with crashes, thrilling drops, broken tracks, all sorts of special effects, and huge versions of the Simpson characters.

Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Pirates of the Caribbean Ride review

Disney's pirates of the Caribbean ride review

Located in the Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland, Pirates of the Caribbean Ride is one of Disney’s most popular attractions. It’s always been a favorite with visitors, but after the hit movies, it’s even more so.

Walt Disney himself helped with the ride’s design, and it opened just three months after his death. The ride begins at a Spanish fortress, where guests enter and walk through dimly-lit corridors that are littered with cannons and other pirate paraphernalia.

At the dock, you enter an open-air “boat” and float through the dark. After plunging over a waterfall, the boat enters underground caverns and winds up amidst a pirate battle. Next, the vessel passes through a town that has been taken over by buccaneers.

Disney’s Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride review

Disney's tower of terror ride review

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. This is a thrilling ride that will make your tummy drop to your toes as you experience the terror of the crazy freight elevator in the old Hollywood Tower Hotel.

The hotel’s design is based on the actual Hollywood Tower that was built in 1929 in the heart of the entertainment industry. According to legend, famous movie stars from Hollywood’s Golden Age often frequented the classy hotel, and some lived in its apartments.

On the witching night of October 31, 1939, there was a violent storm. Thunder and lightning filled the air, and the elevator was struck by a lightning bolt. The people on the elevator at the time disappeared into thin air, along with a whole wing of the building.

Spiderman ride at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure review

Spiderman ride at Universal Studios

I’ve been on the spiderman ride at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure about,,,,oh,,,a few hundred times maybe. So I think I’m qualified to give you an honest review about it!

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is one of the main ride attractions in Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios. This popular theme park ride makes you feel like you are right in the action and completely involved in what is going on.

The queue line of the spiderman ride takes you through a replica of the newspaper office Peter Parker works at. At one point you enter a big room where they show a video of what is suppose to be happening in the city. Then you finally get to the ride station.

Walt Disney World Space Mountain ride review

Disney space mountain at the Magic Kingdom!

Space Mountain is one of the most well known attractions located in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This popular ride is a not a typical roller coaster, as it features spatial-effects lighting, windows that appear to look out into the universe and thrills from beginning to end.

The space mountain ride at Disney’s Magic Kingdom had a total refurbishing not too long ago. The improvements make it even more fun to ride.

One great improvement is that there are two tracks side by side, and you blast off at the same time on identical configured tracks in the dark.

My Review of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride review

Hogswart’s Castle, home of the forbidden journey ride

Wow have I been busy at the new Wizarding world of Harry Potter park inside Universal Studios! Today I want to give you my Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride review. Yes I got to go on it and it’s a must see for Harry Potter fans.

So let’s start from the beginning. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride is located inside the Hogswart’s castle replica, along with most of the queue line. Just outside the big entrance way made in the side of the rock wall is test seats.

You can actually be too BIG to go on the ride, so if your a large person it’s a good idea to test those out first. The seats you sit in are a bit snug, and a one piece rigid shoulder harness comes down and locks in place over you.

Popeye and Bluto Bilge Rat Barges water ride at Universal Studios

Here’s another youtube video I made. This one is of Popeye’s and Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges water ride at Island of Adventure in Universal Studios. From the video it does not look like you will get very wet, but that is wrong!

Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges is the third water ride located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure Park. This whitewater rafting ride is based on the Popeye cartoons. The Bilge-Rat Barges opened in 1999 and it still is one of the country’s most popular themed versions of this staple attraction. It has fantastic thrills and spills and you DO get wet!

Riders get in a big circular raft and go down a river being soaked by waterfalls. As you go along the ride you are hit with water from top to bottom. Don’t be surprised if you’re completely soaked when it’s all over! This experience really offers bang-for-your-buck.

Storm Force Accelatron ride at Universal Studios video

I’ve been going hog wild with my new camcorder! 😉 So far I’ve taken 11 youtube videos of the theme parks around Orlando. This one is the Storm Force Accelatron ride at Islands of Adventure in Universal Studios. It’s got a weak story to it, like most do.

Somehow it’s suppose to be about the sexy super hero Storm fighting Magneto, the villain. Since Storm controls the weather I guess the whirling ride is suppose to be like your in a storm she made, get it?

Located next to and behind The Hulk roller coaster, it’s never very full because it’s one of the tamer rides at Universal Studios. In fact many overlook this ride and just give it a passing glance. However it is fun for little kids and grown-ups who don’t like the extreme thrill rides.

You do have to be at least 48 inches tall to ride this. It last maybe 2 minutes or so. It’s a good ride for everyone in the family, a little break from the more extreme rides. As for just what it does, well,,, that’s what the video is for! Go click on it and watch the Storm Force Accelatron ride youtube video. :)

More pictures and review of Universal’s Rip Ride Rocket roller coaster

Universal Studios rip ride rocket roller coaster

Well it took long enough, but I finally got to ride the new roller coaster at Universal Studios, rip ride rocket! Or rather rip ride rockit, as it’s really called. There was not too much of a wait the day I went, only around 20 minutes. Since I was by myself I took the “single riders only” line. One thing that quickly became apparent to me is that the single rider line for this ride moves very slow!

That’s because the roller coaster only seats two people across, a bit unusual. Since most people come as couples or with kids, it’s harder to find a single seat left each time. You basically have to wait for a group of three people to leave a single seat open. So, single riders will have to wait longer than at other rides to get a seat.

However it’s still faster than the normal line if your single. Getting in was pretty easy, and everything fit snug. Once your in you get to choose a song from a short play list with buttons in front of you. As soon as you take off you start the slow climb up the tall 90% first hill! It’s scary to see nothing but blue sky as you go straight up!

Once at the top there is no pause, and the sharp bend around and down makes you think your going to fall right out of your seat! Then the fun begins, as you go through a series of loops, barrel loops and over-under twist. Several times during the ride it slows down, only to get back up to speed with more drops.

You go through a building at one point, and the ride stretches from the far back of the park to the front. Time wise it’s longer than most coasters here in Florida. The music was loud but not too much so, and since you can pick your own it was good. Overall rip ride rocket was a blast and one I’ll go on again and again.

It’s not as fast as The Hulk roller coaster, but it last longer. The big fun is the 90% grade starting hill and the drop at the top. If you have a fear of heights that will really make you sweat! The height requirement is 51 inches, so no little kids can ride this. I highly recommend going on rip ride rockit for some thrilling fun!

Below is a slide show I put together. Click the first thumbnail to start it, click the picture in the show to exit it. For roller coaster junkies, rip ride rockit is a winner!
