CityWalk’s Red Coconut Club Nightclub at Universal Studios

The Red Coconut Club, located in Universal’s CityWalk, is a dance club that really knows how to get the exotic vibe flowing. Retro furnishings take you back to a sixties-looking disco inspired by the Cuban culture, while bands playing tunes make Baby Boomers feel comfortable.

They play the latest hits and everyone seems to have fun on the dance floor. Live entertainment and a tropical vibe make this one of the best clubs in Orlando.

The Red Coconut Club makes you feel special; once you get in here, you are treated like a royalty. Inside you will find unusually shaped seats, a colorful clubby decor, top notch sound system and bartenders at the three separate bar areas that are really good when it comes about mixing drinks.

There is always something fun going on for the kids and the host station out front is the bomb! Bubba Gump Shrimp is truly unique. It even features a “stop Forrest stop” and “Run Forrest run” license plate to draw the attention of your server.

However, the waiters are all very friendly, and they make sure you have a great time while you’re there. The atmosphere is indescribable… you simple have to see it to believe it.

For those of you who love the Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon blast ride at Universal Studios, I have some sad news for you. It seems as though Universal will be closing the ride this year.

Universal Studios has announced that on April 1st, 2011 they will be closing the Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon blast ride at Universal Studios Florida theme park.

They will then start to build what they call an “all-new experience based on an amazing concept” at the location. They don’t say what the new ride or attraction will be, other than it’s a natural fit for Universal Orlando.

The Simpsons ride at Universal Studios is one of the most popular rides there. Here’s a quick The Simpsons ride review at Universal Studios so you can decide if it’s a ride you want to go on.

This six-minute ride is based on the popular television series, The Simpsons. To enjoy this zany ride, you’ll have to walk through a giant Krusty the Clown’s mouth to get to the circus pavilion and Krustyland, a cheap theme park created by the clown. After seeing some “live footage” of the Simpson family on an outing at Krustyland, guests are taken to the ride.

Shortly after entering the ride vehicle, Sideshow Bob, recently escaped from prison, takes over the park and the car goes on a wild ride complete with crashes, thrilling drops, broken tracks, all sorts of special effects, and huge versions of the Simpson characters.

If your a fan of Ellen DeGeneres, you may have a chance to see her show live! On Sunday, April 3rd 2011 They will be taping two Ellen DeGeneres shows at CityWalk in Universal Studios Orlando.

The scheduled guest and times of the shows will be announced at a later date. There is no more audience tickets available, but you can still join in the fun at the “Riff Raff” street party.

There you can see the Ellen DeGeneres show being taped on the CityWalk plaza stage screen, and watch the musical guest perform live! From the sounds of it you will get taped and maybe be flashed as part of the show.

Each year Universal Studios holds Gradbash, a party for graduating seniors. This year there will be two different parties at two different times.

If you’re a high school senior, a teacher, or a high school administrator, make plans now to attend the 2011 version of Universal Studios’ GradBash. This year’s parties will be held on April 15 and 30, and on May 6 and 7.

This is the only two-park grad party in Orlando, as guests will have the chance to enjoy both Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

When you first go into Islands of Adventure theme park at Universal Studios, you walk through a row of shops called the Port of Entry shops. They are on both the left and right side. If your big on candy, make sure you check out the Island market and export candy shoppe!

It’s located on your right as your walking into the theme park, stuck between DeFoto’s Expedition Photography shop and the colorful Port of Entry Christmas Shoppe.

It’s a bit small, serving as a small break between the two connected shops. But the Island market and export candy shoppe is packed with many different kinds of candy that goes all the way up the walls!

I’ve been on the spiderman ride at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure about,,,,oh,,,a few hundred times maybe. So I think I’m qualified to give you an honest review about it!

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is one of the main ride attractions in Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios. This popular theme park ride makes you feel like you are right in the action and completely involved in what is going on.

The queue line of the spiderman ride takes you through a replica of the newspaper office Peter Parker works at. At one point you enter a big room where they show a video of what is suppose to be happening in the city. Then you finally get to the ride station.

This year Universal Studios Mardi Gras 2011 party is Every Saturday and select nights from February 12th – April 23rd. The Mardi Gras parade is at dusk while the Mardi Gras concerts are February 12 – April 9: 8:30 pm and April 16 & 23: 9:30pm.

It’s going to be the biggest Mardi Gras celebration in the U.S. outside the Big Easy! The food here will tempt the most jaded gourmet – authentic Cajun and Creole dishes that include main courses, desserts, and snacks.

Now that new years eve is over, I just have to ask something. I made an article a few months ago about Universal Studios CityWalk New Years Eve party. I got a ton of traffic and comments about it.

So much so, that I REALLY want to know how the people that went liked it! No I did not go, those types of crowded parties are just not my thing. But I heard it was a great success.
