Theme park tips for summer time

It’s the middle of the summer season here in Orlando, Florida. Summer is the busiest time of the year for Walt Disney world, Universal Studios and SeaWorld. Heck for everything down here.

So I thought I’d give you some tips and tricks you can use if your visiting the theme parks this summer in Orlando. It’s the hottest time of the year with temperatures in the 90’s each and every day.

Because of that make sure you put on plenty of sunscreen. Even cloudy days will give you a sunburn that will surprise you. Put it on your face, arms and shoulders if nothing else.

Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion ride at The Magic Kingdom review

Disney's Haunted Mansion ride review

It’s time for another one of my theme park ride reviews! Today I’ll give a quick review of an old classic, Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride in the Magic Kingdom theme park.

Located at Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, this is a definite must-see for all ages. Actually, this is more than a “must see” – it’s more of a “must experience.”

Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride takes place in a large colonial manor, complete with wall sconces, cobwebs, caskets, eerie background music, screams, statues, moans, and plenty of creaks. There are also “cold spots,” so several of your senses are bombarded by the ghostly experience.

New Disney Star Tours 2 ride youtube video

Hi everyone! I’ve been busy with summer stuff here in Orlando, going to the parks and so on, work work you know! One thing I did recently is go to the new Star Tours 2 ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As you may know they just got done re-doing the ride, making it better. I have to say they did a great job and the 3D video you see in the simulator really is much better than the old one.

You get to go to many more places and do more things. The Star Tours 2 youtube video above gives you some of the highlights of what you see on the ride. It looks much more real on the ride as it’s 3D, your moving around and the background scenery is more realistic then in this one.

But this gives you an idea of what you can look forward to when you go on the ride. So check out this Star Tours 2 youtube video and get a taste of what you’ll be experiencing once you go! :)

Disney miniature golf courses

Walt Disney World has four different fun miniature golf courses you can play on in case you did not know. They are each themed differently in detail, just like the theme parks.

Playing a round or two of miniature golf is a wonderful way for families to spend time together. It also allows kids a chance to burn off some nervous energy. Like everything else at Walt Disney World in Orlando, the golf courses are amazing!

Walt Disney World has several great water parks to choose from. One of their newest and best is Disney’s Blizzard Beach! Like all Disney parks, this has a cool theme to it.

It’s made to look like a freak blizzard blew through town, leaving a huge mountain of snow to slide down on. It’s covered with fake snow and uses ski lifts to get to the top of the tallest slides!

Are you ready to try the world’s tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides? If so, you must come and visit Disney’s Blizzard Beach. Don’t forget to bring your whole family, because this amazing water park features some incredible attractions.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Roller Coaster ride review

Walt Disney World Big Thunder Mountain railroad roller coaster

One of the most oldest and fun rides at Disney in the magic kingdom is the big thunder mountain railroad roller coaster! The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a relatively mild coaster that takes you through an abandoned gold mine in the old west.

Ride it again & again to take in all the wacky Disney touches. It is more exhilarating than anything else as you whiz inside and out of the mountain with spectacular views over Frontierland.

A ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad provides a fast and fun ride to those aboard— from big kids to adults. Along the way, there’s typical Disney styled animatronics of crows, goats and loose boulders. The animatronic goat that holds a stick of dynamite adds a note of humor to the entire scene.
