We stayed at Fort Wildeness in a cabin and really enjoyed it. It is a nice break from the crowds and action at the theme parks. After a long day at the park, you just sit back and enjoy a quiet boat ride across the lake to the campground. I highly recommend renting a golf cart. Call in advance because there are only a limited number available. This makes it easy to get around the campground since cars are not allowed. It also saves you time since you’re not waiting for a bus everytime you want to go somewhere. I wish the old swimming hole and steam railroad were still there to complete the theme.
