Disney’s Characters in Flight balloon ride down

Disney's hot air balloon ride down

One of the more eye catching attractions at Downtown Disney marketplace is the Characters in Flight balloon ride. Located in the west side area, this unique ride has an enclosed “basket” attached to a helium filled balloon.

The balloon is red and yellow with Disney characters of Peter Pan and friends flying across it. It is tethered by cables so it only goes up so high and out over the water it sits next to.

Well your not going to see it for a while! That’s because Disney suddenly stopped the attraction after the same type of balloon and operated by French company Aerophile sprung a leak and crashed in Hong Kong.

Orlando, Florida weather tips

Well tropical storm Debbie has now left the state of Florida. Here in central Florida it did not do much damage. In fact we needed the rain here so it was nice. However I’m sorry about the flooding and damage it did elsewhere in the state.

I thought this would be a good time for some quick Florida summer weather tips. The weather in Florida is a bit strange to folks outside the state, just like most of the people who live here. 😀

Normally all summer long, day after day it’s the same thing. You wake up to a very still, hot and humid day with sunny skies. It stays that way until anywhere from 2:00 to say 5:00 PM.

Basically they have an all around general admission ticket for the horror nights for $88.99. Then they have tickets good for both a full day in the park plus the nighttime horror nights events.

Disney, Universal raise ticket prices again

Theme park tickets rasied again

One thing that I should include in my annual events section but don’t is the annual theme park ticket price raises. Just a day or two ago Universal Studios for the first time raised their ticket prices before Disney.

Normally they follow Disney once they raise ticket prices. Does that mean they are now equal to them, or as bad? Anyways yes, both Disney and Universal Studios have raised their base price ticket cost plus a few other types of tickets.

The cost now of an adult one-day, one-park ticket to one of the two Universal Studios parks is now $88.00. A few of the other types of tickets also jumped a bit at Universal.
